Assignment

The municipality of Rijen wants to increase citizen participation in the municipality through the F-ONS project. The objective is that residents of the municipality can easily realize ideas that improve the living environment and vitality of the municipality or a neighborhood. Currently this is possible, but for many people it is too complicated and time-consuming. With the new project, the intention is to make this easier and for the municipality to help realize ideas/plans that have been approved. Helping can consist of deploying its own staff or linking, for example, an entrepreneur to make the financial picture fit. The idea is that the initiative should be feasible for all residents, i.e. for a practically educated as well as a theoretically educated person.

Fresh and playful look

The municipality of Rijen had a number of characteristics they would like to see reflected in the logo and other expressions. The properties were colors that radiated being outdoors, creativity and social. In consultation with the municipality, the fresh colors blue, green and yellow were chosen.

In phases

The first concept phase consisted of orienting the shape of the logo while also thinking about the pay-off. With the clear feedback, the final logo came out in phases.

Printed matter

In addition to creating the corporate identity, we also developed campaign elements. Some elements are; logo clouds on forex material for the F-ONS contest and a stand-in sign of character Fons. This is to create interaction with residents at municipal events.

Infographic

Besides the print and interaction elements, an infographic was also developed to make it clear to both highly educated and practically educated people how one can realize their idea together with the municipality of Rijen for in their area.

Website

The website for F-ONS was realized in the same style as the infographic. The character Fons plays a role in many elements. Fons is the face of the civic participation project. Residents can identify with the character. The website is designed so that people can submit their idea to the municipality in 3 clicks. The user experience has been an important aspect in the final website, but with a constant eye on design.
